Nine Day Expedition
February 21 – March 3, 2020 – a shorter journey for those with less time on their hands but the same thirst for adventure and family connectedness. Covering the highlights of the cultural and signature trips, this itinerary takes in the best of Bali at a lower cost- with only 2 missed school days.
High School Leadership
Each year in April, High School students immerse in hands-on cultural and ecological learning while biking, walking and snorkeling at the Island of the Gods. Central to the trip is a weekend at a very special children’s home in Northern Bali. Opportunities for growth in leadership skills and independence. Fully chaperoned.

Day 1-2. Depart U.S. Cross twelve time zones and arrive in Denpasar, Bali on Day 2. Welcome to the Island of the Gods. After clearing customs, you will enjoy hassle-free airport pickup and transfer to your hotel in the village of Ubud.
Days 3-6. To counteract jet lag, it’s best to stay active. Choose your own adventure from a variety of pre-inspected activities.
Days 7-10. Slow down, live in the moment and play games with the 85 kids who reside in a children’s home run by two amazing women. Visit a traditional market, walk to the beach, help fishermen haul in their nets and experience life in a way that fosters gratitude and resilience.
Days 11-13. Journey by boat to Menjangan Island and experience world-class snorkeling. Fish for mackerel in a local spider boat, dine on Indonesian specialties with your toes in the sand, and meet local families.
Day 14. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. You will cross the international dateline and arrive home the same day.

The list of inclusions is long:
All transportation from the moment you touchdown in Bali until the moment you take off, most meals, an abundance of activities, boutique Balinese style lodging, experiences with the Children’s Home kids, swimming pools to refresh at every stop, expert advice, a massage for each adult, guided hikes, a car and driver day to suit your plans, waterfalls, temples… you get the idea.
The final inclusion costs nothing but is priceless for our families- three active reflection times guided by us, where families come together and process all that we’ve experienced and learned.
There are many one-stop flight options to Bali, including stopovers in dynamic cities like Amsterdam, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Google flights allow you to easily search many options at once. Websites like Kayak provide competitive pricing but be mindful of cancellation and change fees. Last year’s travelers paid as little as $850 per person for their airfare.
A non-refundable $250 deposit per person is required at the time of booking. The balance payments are made following a schedule and may be paid by check or e-check.
