A. Options:
Thinking about sunny camp days filled with adventure? Check dates, camp options and grade level guidelines by viewing the information on our summer page. Note: CIT options are available for kids currently in grades 6 – 9. Internships are by invitation.
All camps are held from 9:00 – 3:00 with aftercare available until 5:00.
All camps are held at the “pumpkin church” at 129 Miller Ave in Portsmouth
B. Registration:
Enrollment for campers and CITs opens Wednesday, January 17th at 7:00 am. Camps do fill quickly so make sure to log on that day to submit a registration request. We date stamp enrollments (rather than time stamp,) so there’s no need to be at your computer right at 7:00 am.
Don’t have a parent dashboard yet? Simply click “create new account” at this link to start the process. This will allow you to create a dashboard for your family ahead of time. Once you click the “Continue to Enrollment Options” button, your account will be created and you will receive an email confirmation with a temporary password. Summer camp enrollment options will not be visible until registration opens, but you will have a jump start on the process.
C. Payment & Refunds:
A $100 deposit per child per camp week is due when you receive an enrollment confirmation email from us. The deposit is refundable until March 1. Your remaining camp balance is due May 1.
After May 1, tuition payments are non-refundable unless we are able to fill your child’s spot at camp.
Frequent Flyers:
Yes, you can request enrollment in as many camp weeks as you like! You can also do what many of our campers and CITs do and repeat a previously attended camp. We vary the adventures from year to year, adding new storylines, workshops and activities…all carefully selected to fit themes kids love.
Specialty Sessions:
Filmmaking programs are offered a few times each summer. During Kids Inc. Wizards & Wands camp, there’s a magical movie option. A small herd of Wild NH kids get to make a cinematic creature feature. And during both World’s Best Chefs weeks, our movie director offers a Food & Film option. Campers and CITs create a camp-themed movie to screen at the Friday finale and these specialty sessions are a great fit for kids interested in learning to act for film, make props or create costumes and special effects. To see our film trailer, click here or view last year’s HP themed film, The Room of Requirement or the culinary caper, Chewdunit
Aftercare:
For a reasonable fee, we offer extended care for campers from 3:00 until 5:00 pm each camp day. You can sign up for aftercare at the time of enrollment or add that option anytime prior to the start of your camp week. The cost is $25 for 1 day, $50 for 2 days, $70 for 3 days, $90 for 4 days, and $105 for 5 days in the same week.
Cost/Leadership Ratio:
Our entire leadership team is excited to make sure you walk away certain your camp investment was worth every penny. We employ adults who are educators because that level of professionalism makes all the difference in the quality of the kids’ experience…it costs more but it’s worth it. We bolster the team with high level interns and a large group of counselors in training – role models in our leadership program. The end result is an exceptional staff to camper ratio; allowing a packed schedule of hands-on, kid-done creativity AND plenty of attention for everyone.
In addition, our fixed costs have increased significantly again this year and necessitated a tuition increase.
Enrollment confirmation:
We generally send enrollment confirmations within one week of your request submission. Please be aware that registration preference is determined by day (not by timestamp,) other factors (such as a CIT sibling) and a lottery system, when necessary.
